I once had the Social Services Department try to condemn the house because our neighbors were objecting to a smell emanating from our home. When the bastards got there, they saw we had all the windows boarded up (inside and out) and under the kitchen window, was a pile of raw garbage that could easily have filled a large dumpster. I had explained that it was winter and very cold so we had to board up the windows to keep warm (no heat) and none of us had any transportation that could remove the garbage and they wouldn't very well let us take it on the bus!
