I realized at an early age that I needed to get on the other side of the camera so that any pictures would not include me! When this picture was taken I thought I was looking nonchalant despite being the only kid on the team who didn't get a t-shirt on that first day (yeah, that's me). Had the photographer been more capable he would have been able to catch that bright smiley kid who was muttering, "I can't believe Mom did this to me."
